About Tyson
I am a Utah native, and my journey into hospice care is deeply personal. I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing from Weber State University, and my early years at the bedside shaped my belief that healthcare should always be rooted in dignity, compassion, and genuine human connection.
After several years in healthcare, I joined my family’s multigenerational business and later became a managing partner with the Murdock Auto Group. During that time, I led organizations built on trust, service, and long-term relationships—experience that continues to influence how I approach leadership today.
My path back to healthcare was shaped by the loss of my mother. Experiencing hospice care as a son—witnessing the compassion, presence, and comfort provided during her final days—left a lasting impression on me. That experience became the catalyst for my desire to help build a hospice that truly honors patients and supports families, not only clinically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.
Today, I bring both clinical understanding and seasoned leadership to Peak, guided by the belief that end-of-life care should be unhurried, deeply respectful, and centered on what matters most to each patient and family.
I am married and the proud father of four children. I am also actively involved in the community, supporting organizations such as the Davis Education Foundation and serving on the board of Unified Sports for Special Olympics Utah. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and following local sports.
